Tom Douglas is an Academy Award, Golden Globe and GRAMMY-nominated songwriter. After enjoying a 13-year career in commercial real estate, Douglas got his first song recorded by Collin Raye at the age of 41. That song, “Little Rock”, reached #1, earned a nomination for CMA Song of the Year and achieved the Million-Air award from BMI for receiving one million spins on country radio. Since then, Douglas has written numerous number one hits, including: “I Run to You” (Lady A), “Southern Voice” (Tim McGraw) and “The House That Built Me” (Miranda Lambert). The Grammy Award-winning song “The House That Built Me” remained at number one on the Billboard charts for four weeks and earned ACM’s first ever Song of the Decade award.
Douglas has written countless well-received songs for a wide range of artists, including: Keith Urban, P!nk, Luke Bryan, Celine Dion, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Kenny Chesney, Kane Brown, George Strait, Chris Janson, and Collin Raye among others. In 2011 Douglas’ song, “Coming Home” received an Oscar and Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song. In 2014, Douglas was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, subsequently receiving a Grammy Nomination for his song “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s” recorded by Tim McGraw. Some of Douglas’ recent work includes “Drunk Girl” recorded by Chris Janson, which received the 2018 Music Row Award for Song of The Year. He also penned the song “Dear Hate” recorded by Maren Morris and Vince Gill, earning the Grammy nomination for the 2019 Country Song of the Year.
In 2022, Douglas released “Love, Tom,” along with companion album inspired by the Motion Picture Love, Tom. Directed by Oscar nominated and BAFTA-winning filmmaker Michael Lennox, and written by Tommy Douglas and Tom Douglas, “Love, Tom” is based on Douglas’ much-lauded 12-minute acceptance speech given at the 2014 Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, offering a message of hope to a desperate world. Spanning a 30-year career, Douglas shares personal anecdotes as the backstory for his most famous songs.
The companion album, inspired by the Motion Picture, Love, Tom, features many of Douglas’ beloved co-writers and friends, including Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Lady A, Chris Janson, and Collin Raye. Each track on the album is performed by Douglas in the film as he takes you back to the day he wrote it. The album will be released via Monument Records.
“Tom Douglas is, quite simply, our conscience. He shines a spotlight on the dark side of society so brightly that we can no longer ignore it. He’s a realist, but he’s also an optimist. As he says, the pain in this world is great, but the love is even greater. I love his raspy voice. When you hear him sing, you know he just knows. He’s lived every word that he writes. He makes mature music for mature people. He’s had some huge hits, but I always like his versions better. No one can sing a Tom Douglas song better than Tom.” – Music journalist Beverly Keel

Casey Beathard moved to Nashville after attending Elon College in North Carolina in 1991. He immediately landed a day job at the Country Music Hall of Fame working in the gift show and mail order. He then took a part time, second job, at the Blue Bird Cafe as a cook/bar back. He says ever significant connection a "wanna-be" writer/artist could make, was made at those two jobs.
He began singing demo's for Hall of Fame writer Don Schlitz, among others, while continuing to play "live" at any "open mic" and for anyone else who would listen. After starting to concentrate more on his songwriting, he had the title cut on Kenny Chesney’s album, “I Will Stand” and then the single “Right Where I Need To Be” by Gary Allan.
Huge hits since then have been “Like Jesus Does” & “Homeboy” by Eric Church, George Strait’s “The Breath You Take”, Aaron Tippin’s “Where the Stars & Stripes & Eagles Fly”, and a string of #1’s that include “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem”, “Don’t Blink”, “Come Back Song”, “Find Out Who Your Friends Are”, “Cleaning This Gun”, “Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo” and “The Boys of Fall”.

Texas singer/songwriter Radney Foster first gained attention as half of the duo Foster & Lloyd (who, with “Crazy Over You” became the first duo in history to top the Country charts with their debut single), and established himself as a solo artist in the early '90s with three critically acclaimed solo albums.
Known as a songwriter’s songwriter, his songs have been covered by everyone from Keith Urban and Sara Evans to Guy Clark and Hootie and the Blowfish. His own hits like “Nobody Wins,” and “Texas In 1880” and “Just Call Me Lonesome,” continue to be played on radio and by bands around the world.
While his solo recordings have built a loyal following, they have also become prized among other recording artists. Some of Country and pop’s biggest names regularly mine his works for songs; Keith Urban and the Dixie Chicks both covered songs from See What You Want To See, (including Keith Urban’s chart topping versions of “Raining on Sunday,” and “I’m In”) while Brooks and Dunn and Sara Evans mined Another Way To Go for their projects (including Evan’s #1 version of “Real Fine Place To Start”). In addition, he’s written and produced songs for Jack Ingram, The Randy Rogers Band, Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney and scores of others.

Award-winning songwriter for George Strait with 6 #1 songs.
Award-winning songwriter for George Strait with 6 #1 songs.
A Native Texan, Aaron began his musical career in a “Variety Band.” During the better part of two decades Aaron toured the U.S performing at many military bases as well as civilian events. Driving his bus from place to place he began playing with original melodies and lyrics hoping to create his own songs. His first attempt, “Baby Blue” recorded by George Strait went number one in Billboard.
Aaron began developing his own sound, and refining his original material in small clubs and cafes where he would play. One night after a long father and son talk, he wrote “Love Without End, Amen.” Believing this would be a song that he would play for his family, Barker decided to see what would happen if he sent it to George Strait. Strait recorded it and it stayed at the number one position in Billboard Magazine for five consecutive weeks.
After a recording deal with Atlantic Records, Aaron continued his writing again and landed two #1 singles in a row on George Strait’s “Easy Come, Easy Go” and “I’d Like To have That One Back.” George Strait’s “I Know She Still Loves Me” and “I Can Still Make Cheyenne” also hit the #1 position.
Aaron’s talent for capturing heartfelt music doesn’t just lie with Strait. Doug Supernaw’s BNA debut album released “Not Enough Hours In The Night,” Clay Walker’s “Watch This,” and “You’re Beginning To Get To Me,” Neal McCoy’s “Love Happens Like That,” Aaron Tippin’s “I’m Leavin,” Lonestar’s single “What About Now” all added to his list of #1’s. Other cuts include artists such as Willie Nelson, Trace Adkins, Tracy Lawrence and many more.
Although not a recording artist himself, Aaron's voice is heard millions of time a year by millions of people as the writer and singer of many of the radio and television commercials for the Blue Bell Ice Cream Company. These include "Have Yourself A Blue Bell Country Day” and “The Good Ol’ Days”. The current "There's More Than Just Ice Cream in a Carton of Blue Bell" was also written and performed by Aaron.
Aaron is a member of the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame.
