Born in Alabama into a musical family, Allison Veltz Cruz grew up moving often, carrying her passion for songwriting wherever she went. That passion eventually led her to Nashville in 2011, where she quickly made her mark with her first #1 platinum single, “Mr. Taxi,” recorded by the global K-pop group Girls’ Generation. Since then, Allison has topped the Billboard Country charts with Matt Stell’s double-platinum, two-week #1 “Prayed For You” and Tenille Arts’ platinum hit “Somebody Like That” — a groundbreaking milestone as the first country #1 to be written, performed, and produced entirely by women. Most recently, she scored Jason Aldean’s Top 5 hit single “Let Your Boys Be Country.”
