About
Jim Beavers

Texas native Jim Beavers has built one of the most respected and versatile careers in Nashville, with experience spanning songwriting, touring, artist development, publishing, and music industry leadership. A hit songwriter with multiple #1 country singles, Beavers has written chart-topping songs including “Drink A Beer” for Luke Bryan, “Sideways,” “Am I The Only One,” and “5-1-5-0” for Dierks Bentley, “Don’t” for Billy Currington, “Felt Good On My Lips” for Tim McGraw, “Watching Airplanes” for Gary Allan, and “Why Don’t We Just Dance” for Josh Turner. His catalog also includes fan favorites like “Parachute” by Chris Stapleton and “Red Solo Cup” by Toby Keith.

Before focusing full-time on songwriting, Beavers worked as a marketing executive for Capitol Records and Virgin Records and toured as a musician with Lee Ann Womack. His songs have also been recorded by artists including Faith Hill, Hootie & the Blowfish, Brooks & Dunn, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, and Trace Adkins.

In addition to his songwriting success, Beavers has become a respected leader within the industry, serving as Chairman of the Country Music Association (CMA) in 2022 and currently serving as President-Elect.

Hit country music songwriter Jim Beavers delivers a keynote experience that is equal parts entertaining, insightful, and completely unlike the typical conference speaker.

Beavers brings a rare combination of business education, executive leadership, and creative success to the stage — with an MBA from Vanderbilt University, experience as Marketing Director at Capitol Records, and more than 20 hit songs recorded by artists including Chris Stapleton (“Parachute”), Dierks Bentley (“5-1-5-0”), Luke Bryan (“Drink a Beer”), and Toby Keith (“Red Solo Cup”).

A former Chairman of the Country Music Association, Beavers has spent decades leading, collaborating, and adapting at the highest levels of the entertainment industry.

Funny and authentic he combines live performances of hit songs with behind-the-scenes stories from inside the music business and his experiences working with some of the industry’s biggest artists and personalities.

The result is a keynote is memorable, engaging — and unlike anything audiences expect from a conference stage.
