A native of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Chris DeStefano is a Grammy-winning songwriter, producer/mixer, multi-instrumentalist, and dynamic performer with one of the most powerful voices in Nashville. A classically trained singer from his days in the acclaimed Academy Boys Choir of Philadelphia, Chris blends world-class musicianship with an instinct for crafting chart-topping hits across genres.
After graduating from Berklee College of Music with a degree in film scoring, Chris moved to Los Angeles, where his talent for songwriting quickly took center stage. Splitting time between LA and Nashville, he scored his first major success with Jana Kramer’s “Why You Wanna” before hitting #1 with Carrie Underwood’s “Good Girl.” Since then, he has amassed an incredible list of over 15 #1 hits for country’s biggest stars, including multiple #1s for Underwood (“Something in the Water,” “Smoke Break,” “Little Toy Guns”), Luke Bryan (“That’s My Kind of Night,” “Kick the Dust Up”), Dan + Shay (“From the Ground Up,” “Nothin’ Like You”), Jason Aldean (“Just Gettin’ Started”), Miranda Lambert (“Somethin’ Bad”), Chris Young (“Losing Sleep”), Morgan Evans (“Kiss Somebody”), Brett Eldredge (“Don’t Ya”), and many more.
