Prior to Paul Overstreet’s success as a solo artist, he was one third of the trio S-K-O (also known as Schuyler, Knobloch & Overstreet), in which he recorded one studio album and charted three singles, including the #1 "Baby's Got a New Baby". In 1988, Overstreet signed a solo deal with RCA Nashville. His album, Sowin' Love, accounted for five straight Top 10 hits on the country charts: "Love Helps Those", the title track, "All the Fun", "Seein' My Father in Me" and "Richest Man on Earth." His second album, 1990's Heroes, produced the #1 lead-off single "Daddy's Come Around", which was followed by the Top 10’s "Heroes" and "Ball and Chain". During his songwriting career, Overstreet has written or co-written over 30 Top 10 songs and over 15 #1’s including singles from Keith Whitley (“When You Say Nothing At All”), Randy Travis (“On The Other Hand,” “Deeper Than The Holler,” and “Forever & Ever, Amen”), The Judds (“Love Can Build A Bridge”), and others by Tanya Tucker, Blake Shelton, and more. In 2003, Paul was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
