Lindsey was born in Las Vegas and lived near Area 51, the top-secret military facility where his father worked. His family later moved to Texas, where he grew up. He is married to hit songwriter and author Aimee Mayo. Lindsey is currently pursuing his first love, screenwriting. He is actively pitching film and television projects.
